KEYSIGHT N9961A is a handheld, lightweight, durable, microwave spectrum analyzer, interference analyzer, distance-tracking generator, preamplifier, and power meter. It provides two built-in ports with a maximum frequency of 44 GHz (Q band) and output power up to 4 dBm.
Engineers optimized the Keysight N9961A spectrum analyzer to excel in a dynamic spectral environment. You may encounter measurement challenges. For example, you might need to detect a weak signal in strong conditions.
This requires a high dynamic range. You may also need to identify small interference signals that are close together. This requires excellent phase noise performance.
The high dynamic range (TOI > +15 dBm) is impressive. The low phase noise (-111 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset) is also beneficial. Additionally, the fast sweep time helps make these tasks easier. The Keysight N9961A spectrum analyzer also provides a full power measurement suite and complete trace and state control.

The Keysight N9961A provides a spectrum analyzer IF output with 25 MHz bandwidth. This allows the use of a frequency downconverter. It can also digitize the signal with external test equipment.
You can use tools like a real-time scope or VSA for detailed signal analysis. FieldFox can connect to the 89600 VSA software (Keysight model number 89601B) via Ethernet to a Windows-based PC or tablet.
